Apple Cookie On a Stick

This past Monday was back to school day for all the kids in Miami-Dade County. I was asked to make some cookies for the kids and parents of a classroom for a 5 year old. My first thought was apples on a stick and off to work I got!

How to:
1- Cut, bake and cool your cookies.
2- While your cookies are being cooled prepare your colors (brown, green and red).

3- Outline and fill the apple stem in light or dark brown.

4- Outline apple in red.

5- Outline and fill the leaf in green.

6-Finally flood the apple with red royal icing.

After I finished decorating the cookies on a stick I decided it wasn’t enough. I then thought what would go perfect with a cookie on a stick… It didn’t take too long to think of some yummy vanilla cupcakes and some cream cheese frosting. Once again off to work I went!
