Superman Cookie

August 16, 2011 · by Jany · 12 Comments

This past weekend a little boy turned 5 years old and I was asked to make 50 Superman logo cookies. When I got this news I was thrilled, I love Superman and the logo. Therefore I knew I was going to have a great time making these cookies.

How to make Superman logo cookies:
1- Bake and cool your cookies
2- Prepare your royal icing and color (black, red and yellow)
3- Outline your cookie in black or if you like you can also outline your cookie in red

Because I outlined my cookie in black I waited 5-10 minutes before I flooded my cookie with red royal icing. The reason why I didn’t flood my cookie right away is because I want to try to avoid any bleeding.

4- Next I flooded my cookie with red royal icing

5- The final step is the flood the cookie with yellow royal icing

I like to wait 24 hours to let the royal icing dry.

Thank you for stopping by & stay sweet!

Bessy I did the outline using a Kopykake Cake Projector. But you can make your own template out of card board or plastic.
