This year when I purchased the plates, napkins and tablecloths for our Christmas party the theme was the Holly Leaf. I wanted everyone to have a take home gift so I decided to make Holly Leaf cookies as a thank you gift. Here is a tutorial on how to make Holly Leaf cookies.
First you are going to bake and cool your cookies and prepare your royal icing in green and red.
Outline your cookie.
Flood your cookie.
Add three red dots with tip #2.
Sprinkle American Red Disco Dust on each of the red dots. Once the dots have dried remove the excess disco dust from the cookie with a hard bristle paint brush. Make sure to place a plate under so you can catch and reuse the disco dust.
This is the brush that I used to brush off the excess disco dust, I got the brush at Office Depot.
Then I placed two cookies in a plastic food safe bag and tied them up with red & green ribbons. Each cookie bag was then place at the table in front of the dinner plate. I hope this gives you a new idea for your next party!
Thank you for stopping by and stay sweet!

These holly leaf cookies look so adorable. I wish I found them earlier. I love giving people cookie gifts each year for Christmas. I handed out Christmas tree gingerbread cookies this year. I’ll save this tutorial, I still want to try it anyways. Thanks for sharing.
Happy Holidays!
